DrupalCamp Poland 2025: a Day with Fascinating Sessions, Talks, and Drupal Fans

The annual Drupal celebration is coming up! On Saturday, June 7, the fourteenth edition of the DrupalCamp Poland conference will be held in Warsaw. The event's program includes sessions on tricks and tools to improve your work in Drupal. There will also be a business perspective on web development and even… Ted Lasso!

Fourteenth edition of DrupalCamp Poland

For the past thirteen years, DrupalCamp Poland has been a meeting place for Drupal enthusiasts and people involved in other technology and business topics from Poland and abroad. This one-day event is filled with sessions led by experienced developers and other professionals, and business owners. Droptica has been supporting and sponsoring DrupalCamp since its very beginning. In each edition, as in this one, our experts are among the speakers, sharing their knowledge and best practices.

This year's conference agenda includes sessions in Polish and English, and their topics cover a variety of issues - streamlining work in Drupal, communication between business and technical teams, or content strategy for a website. Later in this article, we will present in more detail some selected topics from the DrupalCamp program.

Streamlining your Drupal workflow

Most of the conference topics will, of course, be about Drupal - a system for creating websites, online stores, or intranets. All these solutions require data processing, often in very large sets. Marcin Maruszewski will show how to deal with this type of data using the Batch API and the Views Bulk Operations (VBO) module during his session in Polish “Panie, Pan tu nie stał", czyli o kolejkach w Drupalu.

The efficiency of working on Drupal (and PHP) projects can also be improved by the Docker-based DDEV tool. Mariusz Andrzejewski will show how to create consistent and portable development environments with its help. The methods and examples he will present during the U mnie też działa – DDEV jako most między developerką a produkcją lecture (in Polish) will help other developers switch seamlessly between different projects.

Another area of developers' work - testing - will be looked at by Pawel Gorski. His session in Polish will focus on automated E2E testing in Drupal. The speaker will share how to configure Selenium to work with Drupal and write effective automated tests.

What's new in Drupal tools?

DrupalCamp cannot fail to include a discussion of what's new in Drupal tools. Attendees at this year's event will learn how the Drupal Commerce platform fits into the Drupal CMS product vision. The author of Drupal Commerce's Starshot Roadmap presentation, Jakub Piasecki, will also present the current development of the Commerce Kickstart distribution and Commerce recipes. The latter will be turnkey solutions for typical ecommerce needs.

Thor Andre Gretland, product owner of the Gutenberg module, will show the latest version of this editor, which introduced, among other things, the ability to edit a single field. The speaker will also look a bit into the future and talk about how Gutenberg will support real-time editing and AI-assisted workflows.

Even more modules will be explored during the session UI Suite - Your toolkit for low code DrupalSharique Ahmed Farooqui will present the UI Suite, Drupal's powerful set of modules that allows web developers to create highly functional sites by writing only small amounts of their own code.

Working with Drupal from a business perspective

Not only will developers find something for themselves during the fourteenth edition of the DrupalCamp Poland conference, as the agenda also includes talks for less technical professionals, such as Drupal in Creative Agencies - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Its author Pawel Bogucki will discuss communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders, based on examples of commercial and public sector projects in the US and Ireland.

The issue of communication between technical and business teams will also be addressed by Bartlomiej Swojak. During the session in Polish Projektowa wieża Babel - technologia vs biznes, he will suggest how to talk to business, how to better understand the other side, and find a common language.

Other tips, this time for editors, will be provided by Ted Lasso... through a presentation in Polish by Monika Branicka. The speaker will show what non-technical content specialists can learn from the coach of the AFC Richmond football team (from the TV series) to create and publish content even better in Drupal.

New contacts and DrupalParty

DrupalCamp is a great opportunity to meet developers, project managers, marketers, business owners, and other technology professionals. During coffee breaks and lunch, you can exchange your impressions of the sessions and professional experiences. And there is even more time for such conversations during the DrupalParty. This year's afterparty will be held on Saturday evening at the Moxy Hotel.
