Drupal website with multi-step form for the electricity supplier

We’ve built a website with an intuitive application form at its heart. It makes it easy for potential Yuno Energy customers to join the service without the hassle of paperwork.

About Yuno Energy

Yuno Energy is a new electricity supplier in Ireland (entering the market in August 2023).

Yuno Energy is a new bill pay brand launched by Yuno Ltd and aims to offer households high savings on electricity by providing a variety of fixed and variable tariff plans that are competitively priced in the marketplace. It enables customers to manage and track their power consumption and costs and pay their bills at low rates.

Yuno Energy needed a website that would showcase their service benefits and their range of energy plans in an effective manner for customers visiting on both desktop and mobile browsers. At the core of the web page was to be a multi-step form allowing users to sign up for the service themselves.

The client had a precise project scope and required experienced developers and product designers to help them create a user-friendly web application. That is when Droptica came into the picture.

The calendar for a monthly payment is one of the steps in the registration form on a Drupal website.

Challenge

The website was intended to be an intuitive and accessible management center for users, where they can choose energy plans, get all the information, and become active customers.

What the web page had to do?

  • Provide the fastest and least burdensome registration process.
  • Present and compare different price plans, including specific rates and estimated bills.
  • Manage data efficiently and securely and customize particular form steps in response to user actions.
Yuno Energy’s Drupal website is responsive and displays well on the mobile phone screens.

Solution

To accomplish the mission, we suggested using Drupal in combination with the Webform module. And how did we respond to the challenges?

  • Working with the Yuno Energy team hand-to-hand, our product designer created a robust UI design of a multi-step form, and developers implemented it.
  • We created a custom Drupal paragraph with fields and buttons. With it, editors can easily configure and publish the price plans on various subpages.
  • We made an integration between Drupal Webform and the client’s API. Based on this, we built several paths for what happens in the form and what information it returns.

Result

After working on every detail, testing, and multiple iterations of changes to address all client needs, we’ve launched the Yuno Energy website on Drupal. It’s designed to meet the requirements of the energy industry in Ireland.

The web page is easy to navigate and user-friendly. Visitors can find all the details they need – including price plans and information about the supplier, in the FAQ section. Potential customers are also able to apply for the service themselves through a multi-step form without having to contact energy company employees.

Yuno Energy’s website allows customers to sign up for the electricity services on the contact form.

What features did we provide for the Yuno Energy website?

One of the features on the Yuno Energy website is a multi-step registration form for the customers.

Multi-step registration form

The website has a built-in registration form that consists of five steps. Among others, the user provides their contact data and information about the property's electrical service and creates an account.

Calendar for a monthly payment

One of the steps in the registration form is an interactive calendar. The user enters the payment date and average electricity consumption and then receives a price calculation tailored to their situation.

The Drupal website has the integration with an AI-based chatbot, the user-friendly communicator.

Reusable website components

The website is also handy for editors. They can use a custom paragraph in Drupal and freely modify it by adding columns of text or animations. This allows the web page to be expanded at will, for example, with new landing pages.

Integration with AI-based webchat

Yuno Energy's website has the integration with an AI-based chatbot. A digital assistant answers questions from existing and potential customers. It allows users to get the information they need without contacting company support.
