Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about intranet implementation
We can set up a basic intranet (with standard functions) in just 1-2 weeks. A full implementation including customization usually takes a few weeks to a few months, depending on the scope of work and integration. However, with our starter package, you can begin adding content almost immediately, and the rest of the functionality can be developed iteratively.
The interface of our intranet is very intuitive – it resembles typical web applications. For most users, working with the intranet will therefore feel natural. In addition, we provide basic instructional training (e.g. a short video or presentation) for all employees to ensure a smooth start. Administrators and content editors receive more in-depth training so that they can manage the intranet system independently.
Of course. We have experience in migrating content from various sources (files, SharePoint intranet, databases, etc.) to our intranet. During the analysis phase, we determine what data needs to be transferred and in what form. Then, we prepare migration tools that automatically import data into the new intranet, preserving the structure and links. This allows your company to smoothly transition to the new system without losing important information.
Yes, we always give you the option to cancel at any time. We understand that your company's needs may change, so we don't lock you into long-term contracts. Of course, we encourage you to contact us to determine an appropriate time and form of migration (e.g., to other packages or to an on-premises solution) if needed.
Of course, you can! We offer a self-hosted option on your own servers, private clouds or dedicated Platform.sh environments. For large companies with their own IT department, this can mean more control over security and infrastructure. If you don't want to deal with the hardware, we can also host the solution for you.
For security, we use data encryption in transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest. We also regularly scan Drupal modules for vulnerabilities and add advanced backups in the Enterprise version.
Where is the data stored? If you choose Droptica hosting, the data is stored in data centers that meet the latest security standards (e.g. ISO 27001). With the self-hosted option, you can choose the server room and region.
